Carried out in a relaxing atmosphere with soft music and the added aroma of complimentary essential oils, this treatment is both soothing and helpful for imbalances in the ears, nose, throat, head, face and neck area, as well as being a natural way to reduce stress.   The candles take the form of a tube which is gently placed in the outer ear and, when lit, generates a chimney effect whereby the movement of the flame creates a massage-like effect on the eardrum through a light vibration of air in the base of the candle.  The treatment promotes blood and lymph circulation and a gentle warmth is transmitted to the rest of the ear and surrounding structures helping to draw out impurities and promote the natural release of excessive wax from the ear canal. Earwax is softened and is usually expelled naturally up to 48 hours after treatment*. The candles have properties that soothe and calm the nervous system, and also have the effect of lifting depression and promoting a general `feel good factor’.
